Eco-nomical and Eco-logical

Eco-housing is a smaller, more efficient version of existing housing types, including both apartments and houses. Our business is based on the idea that residents prioritize price and location over other amenities, such as apartment size. We build great, small homes in high-cost urban locations that are affordable to the people who live and work nearby.

Why residents love eco-housing

The two most important factors for renters are price and location, with size ranking much lower on the list.

Eco-nomical

By keeping costs down, we can keep rents down. We aim to provide low income and workforce renters with housing that costs no more than 30% of their annual income.

Eco-logical

Small units have a far lower carbon footprint than large ones, contributing to sustainable construction and living.

1 Embodied carbon refers the carbon used in the production, transportation and installation of the materials needed to build each unit. Figures drawn from the University of Washington Embodied Carbon Benchmark Study

2 Ongoing carbon emissions refers to the carbon emissions from all energy sources used on an annual basis by a typical unit. Numbers shown are actual figures modeled by Solarc Energy Group for our Acer House projeect

Design

The key to eco-housing is design. We collaborate with talented architects and designers to maximize small spaces. Through high-quality materials, ample storage, and thoughtful layouts, we make the most of every square foot.
